St Mary’s Bletchley is pleased to host this 3 week course, which is presented by the Diocese of Oxford.
What the course is about:
The course is focused on how to turn regular conversations into meaningful spiritual conversations.
Through teaching, discussion and practise the 3 workshops will cover:
- A working model exploring the transition from a pastoral to a spiritual focus
- Basic active listening skills
- How to discern and facilitate making better choices
- Accompanying the holy ground of brokenness and resistance
- Practical sessions in pairs/triads to apply teaching and skills
Course details:
Dates: This is a 3 week course running on Tuesday 17 June, Tuesday 24 June and Tuesday 1 July. We encourage you to attend all 3 sessions to get the most out of the course.
Time: The course will begin at 6:30pm to 9:30pm (dinner available from 6:00pm, details below)
Venue: St Mary’s Community Centre, corner of Warwick Road and Conway Crescent (MK3 6AR)
Dinner:
We realise that many people will be heading to the course straight from work, uni etc, so we will provide a simple dinner at 6:00pm. Please indicate whether you will be eating with us when you RSVP and include any dietary requirements. There is no cost for this but we will have a donations box for refreshments if you are able to make a contribution toward our catering costs.
Parking:
Our Community Centre has a small car park. Please car share where possible to alleviate demand on our limited parking spaces.
