Home Groups
Our Home Groups meet in people’s homes all across Milton Keynes. They are a great way to meet and make friends, while exploring and studying the Bible. Home groups also arrange great social events. They pray together, support each other and live life together. Each group is unique and there is a group for everyone. If you’d like to find out more about Home Groups have a read through our frequently asked questions below or send us a message below.
Got questions?
How big are the groups?
Typically from 6 to 12 people of varying ages. There is one group for the 20-30’s age group.
What do the Home Groups do?
A mix of bible study, prayer, worship and social events, and supporting each other through life’s challenges and one’s journey of faith.
How often do they meet?
Most meet weekly, others fortnightly or monthly.
Do all the groups study the same topic?
Each group is free to study any aspect of the Bible or spiritual life. Sometimes, a particular Sunday sermon series will be available, where the preacher provides additional material for Home Groups to study together, if they so wish.
When do the Home Groups meet?
At different times in the week, usually evenings, but we are hoping to start a daytime group. One group meets online.
How can I find out more?

I do not know the Bible very well
Not a problem as you will be able to discover so much more about the Bible as you study it in a helpful small group environment.
I am not comfortable praying out loud
God hears our prayers whether they are spoken out loud, said quietly or written down. There is no pressure on anyone to do anything that they are not comfortable with.
How do I join a Home Group?
Contact the Home Group coordinators (profiles below) and they will put you in touch with a Home Group.

What People Say
I would describe Home Group as a replenishment activity.
Joe
I joined a home group a few months after joining St Mary’s, the group is now my immediate “church family”, I am able to share my joys, fears, and questions openly with my group. They offer me support and I offer my support to them. We learn together, discuss God, veer wildly off-topic (often), we laugh a lot, sometimes there are even tears, and we pray sometimes silently and sometimes aloud. We seek to understand and enjoy feeling understood, we love each other.
