Rev David McDougall - is our church leader. He has been happily in ministry for over 30 years and has moved from London where he was planting new Anglican churches. He is married to Kim and has three grown up children. He is regularly invited to speak in different parts of the world – most recently in Congo and Uganda. He does support "the best football team in the world – that being of course Chelsea Football Club!" He enjoys a good curry and time on his allotment!

    Rev Paul Pavlou -

our church planting curate, also trained for ordained ministry at Ridley Hall Cambridge. Prior to that he was a Special Needs Co-Ordinator and Primary School Teacher in North London, where he and his wife Hayley met at Church. They have since been blessed with two children, Evangeline and Zachary. Whilst working in School's, Paul served in his local Church as any member would, but now he gets paid to do it! Paul doesn't like to overcomplicate things and as such enjoys the basics: food, a good watch and the occasional whiskey!

Rev Hannah Akibo-Betts - Being the granddaughter of a Methodist Pastor; my grandfather would have

been proud to have one of his walking in a similar pair of shoes though

    a different brand name!

Serving is a blessing and privilege. I am blessed with a daughter who

    brings laughter into my life.

Charles Bishop, Operations Manager - Formerly from a retail and leisure management background, I jumped at the chance of becoming St. Mary's Operations Manager when it became available. It is my way of giving something back and serving as God has been so supportive and loving to my family and I.

    Darrel Hofland, Youth Pastor

I come from South Africa and joined St. Mary's in October 2018. I have served in various church's back home and also in the UK in Bicester in 2010/11.

I 'm always outdoors as I love running and cycling. I also enjoy geocaching (go on, ask me). Writing is a great passion for me and I have a blog called Sacred Spaces. I am an avid Chelsea fan, but no ones perfect! PS. I love being invited for meals :)

In addition, we have several others on the church staff team who work either in a voluntary or paid capacity, these areas include Childrens, Youth, Seniors, Pastoral, Management, Admin, Finance, Buildings, Weddings, Baptisms, Funerals Community and School work.

Our Vision

St Mary’s church is a vibrant, Jesus centered, all age, every member ministry, community focused, outreaching church that seeks to start new Christian communities in Milton Keynes. We are serving the needs of our local community, through very active friendship groups and specialist Debt advice services.

Children, Young People, Young Adults and Seniors are all important to us and each have a thriving community. We are a growing church that meets for services, small groups and all kinds of exciting activities.

We have recently started a new church in Newton Leys and some of our church family are joining St Frideswide's Church, Water Eaton to renew the work of the church there.

Our Services

Our services are so important to us all at St Mary’s but during this COVID pandemic our church has had to adjust. Below, you'll see our normal schedule of services but please refer to our home page for our up-to-date schedule.

Our services are a key part of life at St Mary’s. We believe that God transforms our lives step by step as we gather together to worship, pray, hear from God’s Word and respond to His Holy Spirit. Our services aim to cater for all ages, are informal, contemporary, friendly and always have time for refreshments at the end.
