  •

Rev David McDougall - is our church leader. He has been happily in ministry for over 30 years and has moved from London where he was planting new Anglican churches. He is married to Kim and has three grown up children. He is regularly invited to speak in different parts of the world – most recently in Congo and Uganda. He does support "the best football team in the world – that being of course Chelsea Football Club!" He enjoys a good curry and time on his allotment!

  •

Matt Beer - our curate, trained for ordained ministry at Ridley Hall, Cambridge but beforehand worked as a parish worker in Oxfordshire. He is married to Emily, who is a molecular scientist, and they have a dog called Zach. Matt has done some work within the New Wine movement in this country as well as quite a bit of international mission. He enjoys  running and water polo as well as spending time in the garden.

  •

Rev Dr. Sam Muthuveloe - is our assistant curate. Sam was ordained in July 2016 after a Theological study course at Cuddesdon College in Oxford.  He has been a General Medical Practitioner in Milton Keynes since 1985 and together with his wife Ayesha is actively involved in overseas Christian missions to Sri Lanka.  He relaxes watching rugby and cricket, exercises playing tennis, and keeps abreast with world affairs.

  •

Oliver Hermes - is our church warden. Oliver is married to Christine, a local GP and they, with their 3 children have been at St Mary’s Bletchley since 1988. He can often be found welcoming at the church gate on a Sunday morning. A keen supporter of the early morning men’s prayer group, which still enables him to commute to London. He is also the occasional skipper for the Morning Star Trust- a Christian offshore sail training charity.

  •

Chris Hayter - is our church warden. Chris (mother and grandma) was born wearing a smile. She is married to John, both sharing a passion for motor bikes. They are blessed with four children and nine grandchildren. A Milton Keynes business woman, Chris also leads The Oasis Project, empowering local people living in an underprivileged area of The Gambia to sustain a healthy environment and develop their own opportunities for work and learning.

In addition, we have several others on the church staff team who work either in a voluntary or paid capacity, these areas include Childrens, Youth, Seniors, Pastoral, Management, Admin, Finance, Buildings, Weddings, Baptisms, Funerals Community and School work.

Our Vision

St Mary’s church is a vibrant, Jesus centered, all age, every member ministry, community focused, outreaching church that seeks to start new Christian communities in Milton Keynes. We are serving the needs of our local community, for example we offer Debt advice and a very active Food Bank.

Children, Young People, Young Adults and Seniors are all important to us and each have a thriving community. We are a growing church that meets for services, small groups and all kinds of exciting activities.

We have recently started a new church in Newton Leys and some of our church family are joining St Frideswide's Church, Water Eaton to renew the work of the church there.
